Essay Exam (Tuesday): 12 questions: six in the morning and six in the afternoon; suggested answering time—30 minutes each
MBE (Wednesday): Six hours, containing 200 multiple-choice questions: 100 in the morning and 100 in the afternoon

Passing score--a minimum combined score of 410 points
Each essay exam answer receives a grade from 0 (lowest) to 6 (highest). Each grade is then multiplied by 1.5 to yield a point value between 0 and 9. Essay points are totaled and scaled to the MBE portion of the examination following the standard deviation method.
