Passing Score (with MBE)—1680 out of 2400 Passing Score (without MBE)—1120 out of 1600
• Initial grades on essays use a 100-point scale and are then weighted to reflect the amount of testing time. --MEE questions have a weight of 1 and the maximum weighted grade remains 100 points for each essay. --Idaho essay questions are increased by 150%, with a maximum weighted grade of 150 points (i.e., a score of 70 would be converted to 105 points). --MPT questions are increased by 200% (i.e., a score of 70 would be converted to 140 points). • Total weighted essay grade is 1600 (MEE—600, MPT—400, Idaho Essays—600) • Total weighted essay score is scaled to the MBE and combined with the scaled MBE score (for those applicants who took the MBE). Essay performance represents 2/3 of the total score and the MBE is the remaining 1/3.
An applicant whose score falls within the range of 66 2/3 to 7-% of the highest possible score is reviewed. • Reevaluation Range: — Essay and MBE: 1600–1679.9 — Essay Only: 1066–1119.9
